Yuri Bashmet and Konstantin Khabensky

On July 8, renowned theatre and film actor and People’s Artist of Russia Konstantin Khabensky shared the stage with Yuri Bashmet, one of the most decorated musicians of our time, People’s Artist of the USSR and Russian Federation and a Grammy Award winner.

Described by its creators as a literary and musical experiment, the performance was accompanied by the Moscow Soloists Chamber Ensemble, with Yuri Bashmet serving as Artistic Director and Conductor.

The programme featured Camille Saint-Saëns’ celebrated suite The Carnival of the Animals for narrator, two pianos, flute, clarinet, and strings — one of the composer’s best-known works.
