VIVA OPERA. Yusif Eyvazov

On June 4, the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory hosted the festive gala concert Viva Opera, dedicated to masterpieces of Russian and international music. Renowned tenor Yusif Eyvazov performed famous arias from operas by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Georges Bizet, Ruggero Leoncavallo and other composers.

The concert was accompanied by the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra and conducted by one of Russia’s most sought-after conductors, Ivan Nikiforchin, winner of the 1st International Rachmaninoff Competition for Pianists, Composers and Conductors.

The evening opened with the magnificent music of Tchaikovsky, filled with profound lyricism, emotional sincerity and extraordinary melodic richness. The audience heard iconic arias from The Queen of Spades, Eugene Onegin and Iolanta, works that had already become part of the standard operatic repertoire during the composer’s lifetime.

The second half was devoted to the great works of international opera, showcasing the celebrated tenor’s dramatic artistry and vocal mastery. Powerful and emotionally charged arias from operas by Verdi, Puccini, Leoncavallo, Giordano, Mascagni and other great composers created an unforgettable atmosphere for a festive evening celebrating the triumph of opera and an enduring love of music.
