Vadim Eilenkrig

On October 10, the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory hosted a major concert by Vadim Eilenkrig. The renowned trumpeter and television presenter, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the artists of his creative collective Eilenkrig Crew, presented the program The Shadow of Your Smile, dedicated to the anniversary of the musician’s debut album of the same name.

The acclaimed album was released in mid-2009 as part of the launch of the Butman Music label. Fifteen years later, Vadim Eilenkrig — now one of the leading figures of Russian jazz — presented a special program dedicated to his very first release.

Vadim Eilenkrig is a renowned Russian musician, trumpeter, television presenter, producer and educator. He is an Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan and received the “Musician of the Year” award from Radio Jazz 89.1 in 2018.

He is widely known as the host of the Big Jazz program on the Russia-Kultura TV channel (2013), co-host and orchestra leader of Dancing with the Stars on Russia-1 (2016), and host of the music program Klub Shabolovka, 37 on Russia-Kultura, which he has presented since 2018.

Eilenkrig is also a regular member of the jury of the International Television Competition for Young Musicians “The Nutcracker.” He actively tours worldwide, performing across the CIS, Europe, North America and Asia.
