Minin Choir. Better with a choir. A guide to choral music

About the concert

The Moscow State Academic Chamber Choir presented a unique educational project «Better with a choir. A guide to choral music». Host Maria Kholkina and artistic director Timofey Goldberg talked about different forms of choral music — from early polyphony to operatic singing, from romantic canvases to 20th-century experiments. The concert featured famous masterpieces and rarely performed compositions that demonstrate the power and beauty of choral music.

The Minin Choir — an ensemble founded in 1972 by Vladimir Minin, today continues its active and diverse concert activities, but already under the direction of the young conductor Timofey Goldberg, who not only preserves the mastery and traditions of the legendary choir but also develops the repertoire through new formats and projects. «A guide to the choir» became a logical continuation of this path and is designed to make choral music more accessible to the modern listener.
