The concert “Disney’s Magical Music” was broadcast on the Okko multimedia platform on January 7 at 6:00 PM. The beloved music was performed by the Moscow Symphony Orchestra “Russian Philharmonia” conducted by Fabio Mastrangelo.

Several acclaimed stars took part in the concert. Solo parts were performed by renowned opera singer and Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Aida Garifullina. Plácido Domingo described Aida Garifullina as “one of the most remarkable opera divas of the present and future.” Her extraordinary career confirms his words: after winning the Operalia competition in 2013, she became a highly sought-after guest at the world’s leading opera houses and concert halls. In 2018, the acclaimed soprano performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the FIFA World Cup, and in December 2020 she took part in a major Christmas concert filmed at the Vatican in the presence of the Pope.

Other performers included Tina Kuznetsova, leader of the Zventa Sventana project and a finalist of The Voice, as well as musical theatre stars Anna Buturlina and Natalia Bystrova. Anna was the first Russian actress to perform at the Academy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. She is also the Russian voice of Elsa in Disney’s animated films Frozen and Frozen 2.

Theatre and film actress Natalia Bystrova is well known to Russian audiences for her leading roles in numerous popular musicals, including Beauty and the Beast, Zorro, The Little Mermaid, Chicago, Mamma Mia!, Cinderella and others. She has also voiced numerous ice shows, including Peter Pan on Ice, The Snow Queen and Sleeping Beauty, as well as popular animated films. In Frozen and Frozen 2, she provides the Russian voice of Anna.

The concert also featured musical theatre performer Natalia Sidortsova, known for her roles in Anna Karenina, Count Orlov and Romeo and Juliet; musical actress Anastasia Sivaeva; and The Voice winner Darya Antonyuk. Male vocal parts were performed by musical theatre star and Golden Mask Award winner Evgeny Zaitsev, as well as Vadim Michman, who has played leading roles in The Sound of Music, Mamma Mia!, The Little Mermaid, Onegin, Catch Me If You Can and Monte Cristo.

The concert was conducted by one of Russia’s and the world’s most acclaimed musicians, Fabio Mastrangelo. A Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy and a laureate of the Mario Gusella International Conducting Competition, Maestro Mastrangelo has served as Chief Conductor of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra “Russian Philharmonia” since 2018, having begun his collaboration with the orchestra more than ten years earlier.
