Denis Matsuev. "Both Classics and Jazz"

On May 4, 2024, the world-renowned pianist Denis Matsuev performed a solo concert on the stage of Dubai Opera. This time, the famous artist presented the program «Both Classics and Jazz», consisting of masterpieces of classical music and jazz, and including works by Edvard Grieg, Sergei Rachmaninoff, George Gershwin, and other composers. Dazzling jazz standards, including arrangements by the maestro himself, were also performed by renowned musicians, friends of Denis Matsuev: Andrei Ivanov (double bass) and Alexander Zinger (drums). One of the most outstanding pianists of our time performed compositions of a wide variety of genres and once again demonstrated his unique talent, filling beloved melodies with fresh sonic energy.

Denis Matsuev burst decisively onto the musical Olympus, triumphantly winning the XI International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1998. That same year, the musician won the Grand Prix of the International Piano Competition in Paris. After graduating with honors from the Moscow State Conservatory in piano, Matsuev immediately became a star of international scale and one of the most sought-after pianists of his generation. Laureate of the Dmitry Shostakovich Prize, the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of literature and art, the Order of Honor, and other prestigious awards and titles, Matsuev today performs at the world's finest concert halls.
