Chinese XIEXIN DANCE THEATRE — From IN

About the concert

On June 4 and 5, 2025, the Moscow premiere of From IN by China’s XIEXIN DANCE THEATRE took place at the Mossovet State Academic Theatre as part of the Cherry Orchard Open Arts Festival. This marked the company’s first performance in Moscow.

The production is distinguished by its distinctive choreography, seamlessly blending elements of traditional Chinese ballet with contemporary dance styles drawn from different cultures. The result is a unique bridge between past and present, East and West, while inviting audiences to reflect on the essence of humanity and its place in modern society.

From IN is the production that launched XIEXIN DANCE THEATRE. The performance explores human nature through a variety of perspectives. At its heart lies not only the physical embodiment of the human being, but also the cultural contexts in which it exists.

The stage becomes a space for contemplating what the human body was like at the dawn of civilization and how it has transformed in the modern world. The production delves into the mysteries of movements we perceive as ordinary, bringing their deeper meaning and true essence to the forefront.
