On December 3, 2022, the State Kremlin Palace, with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, will host a gala concert celebrating the 85th anniversary of legendary composer Eduard Artemyev, who turned 85 on November 30.

Stars of the Russian stage and some of the most prominent artists and musicians of our time will gather to celebrate the distinguished composer. Among them will be Nikita Mikhalkov, Larisa Dolina, Dima Bilan, Shaman, Albina Shagimuratova, Dmitry Korchak, Alexey Tatarintsev, Veronica Dzhioeva, Ivan Bessonov, Matvey Blyumin, and many others.

The evening will be hosted by Vadim and Igor Vernik.

The gala concert will feature the A.A. Yurlov State Academic Choral Capella of Russia, accompanied by the Russian State Symphony Orchestra of Cinematography, conducted by People’s Artist of Russia Sergey Skripka.

Audiences will be able to enjoy beloved melodies from such films as Solaris, A Slave of Love, At Home Among Strangers, a Stranger Among Our Own, An Unfinished Piece for Mechanical Piano, Kinfolk, The Barber of Siberia, Doctor Zhivago, Every Evening at Eleven, Siberiade, Legend No. 17, and many others.

Artemyev’s magnificent music will be accompanied by a spectacular video sequence featuring a constellation of renowned Russian actors, including Oleg Tabakov, Nikita Mikhalkov, Oleg Yankovsky, Vyacheslav Tikhonov, Elena Solovey, Oleg Menshikov, Aleksandr Kaydanovsky, Nonna Mordyukova, Anatoly Solonitsyn, Rodion Nakhapetov, Danila Kozlovsky, and many others.

This grand musical tapestry, woven from the melodies of a living classic, will transport audiences into the unique musical universe of Eduard Artemyev.
