Denis Matsuev in Concert with the Russian Music Academy Symphony Orchestra

On April 14, the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory hosted a concert by People’s Artist of Russia Denis Matsuev, one of the finest pianists of our time. Accompanied by the Russian Music Academy Symphony Orchestra, the celebrated pianist performed masterpieces of classical music, including Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1. The program also featured excerpts from some of the world’s best-loved ballets, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty.

The orchestra was conducted by one of Russia’s most sought-after conductors, Ivan Nikiforchin, who gained widespread recognition after winning a prize at the 1st International Rachmaninoff Competition in 2022.
