Lorenzo and Gabriele Bagnati I Four-Hand Solo Concert

On February 25, the Italian piano duo Lorenzo and Gabriele Bagnati performed in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. Two outstanding young Italian pianists — brothers Lorenzo (1998) and Gabriele (2002) Bagnati — presented the Moscow audience with a vibrant program of masterpieces of four-hand piano music. The audience heard works full of lyricism by Maurice Ravel, Franz Schubert, Claude Debussy, and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The Bagnati brothers — undeniable stars of the young generation of European pianists. Both were born in Milan into a musical family, began studying piano at the age of four, and were already performing with orchestras in childhood, winning first prizes at prestigious international competitions.

Lorenzo Bagnati — laureate of the I prize of the Anton Rubinstein Competition (Düsseldorf), the American Protégé International Competition (New York), and many others. At the age of 17, he graduated from the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory of Venice with honors and an honorary diploma, and was also awarded the title of best graduate. In 2021, he completed his master's degree at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (class of Professor D. A. Burshtein) and is currently perfecting his skills under the legendary Eliso Virsaladze. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Salle Cortot in Paris, the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, and multiple times at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. In addition to his concert career, Lorenzo is actively involved in promoting classical music. His social media audience numbers over six million followers.

Gabriele Bagnati — laureate of the prestigious Premio Venezia competition (La Fenice theatre, 2022), winner of the J. S. Bach piano competition in Sestri Levante and the Lia Tortora competition. At the age of seven, he was admitted to the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory of Venice, which he graduated with honors. He later continued his studies with Eliso Virsaladze, then — with maestro Epifanio Comis at the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory in Catania. Since 2022, Gabriele has been an official artist of the renowned Sony Classical label, with which he has already released two solo albums, garnering over 80 million streams on streaming platforms. He regularly performs concerts in Italy and abroad.
