Igor Butman and Larisa Dolina
About the concert
On November 27, the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory will host a joint concert by People’s Artists of Russia Igor Butman and Larisa Dolina, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Russian jazz.
The acclaimed saxophonist and renowned singer have performed together on numerous occasions, but this will be their first joint concert at this historic venue. Audiences can look forward to a true celebration of music, rhythm, and the freedom of improvisation.
The programme, combining solo performances with captivating duets, will showcase not only the virtuosity and artistry of these celebrated performers, but also the extraordinary emotional range of jazz itself — from gentle nostalgia and sensual lyricism to infectious optimism and exuberant vitality.
The concert will also feature the remarkable pianist, composer, and vocalist Oleg Akkuratov, a laureate of numerous international competitions.
The evening will be accompanied by the Moscow Jazz Orchestra.
