FILM CONCERT CELEBRATING THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF LEONID GAIDAI

Alexander Zatsepin, Irina Dubtsova, Lev Leshchenko, Lyusya Chebotina, Mikhail Shufutinsky, Nastasya Samburskaya, Dmitry Kharatyan, Alexander Malinin, Gleb Matveychuk, Dune, Soso Pavliashvili, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Efim Shifrin, Alexander Buynov, Elchin Azizov, Arseny Borodin, the BEL SUONO piano trio, and other stars will perform beloved songs from iconic Soviet films!

On December 14, the State Kremlin Palace will host the large-scale film concert “Gaidai-100,” dedicated to the centenary of the outstanding film director. Popular singers and film stars, renowned performers and musicians will perform beloved hits from such iconic films as Operation Y and Shurik’s Other Adventures, The Diamond Arm, The Twelve Chairs, Ivan Vasilyevich: Back to the Future, Kidnapping, Caucasian Style, and many others.

The concert will also feature Alexander Zatsepin, the director’s close friend and favorite composer, who wrote music for many of Gaidai’s films. The hosts of the evening will be Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Oleshko and actress Aglaya Shilovskaya. The concert is supported by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

The evening will feature Mikhail Boyarsky, Lev Leshchenko, Lyusya Chebotina, Mikhail Shufutinsky, Nastasya Samburskaya, Irina Dubtsova, Dmitry Kharatyan, Alexander Malinin, Gleb Matveychuk, the group Dune, Soso Pavliashvili, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Efim Shifrin, Alexander Buynov, Elchin Azizov, the BEL SUONO piano trio, Arseny Borodin, and other artists.

Beloved hits that have become symbols of their era — Song About the Hares, The January Blizzard Is Ringing, Help Me, Island of Bad Luck, The Song About the Bears, If I Were a Sultan, A Conversation with Happiness, and many others — will be performed with the Russian State Symphony Orchestra of Cinematography, conducted by People's Artist of Russia Sergei Skripka.

The concert will also feature the Domisolka Children's Musical Theatre, the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, and artists of the Romen Moscow Musical and Drama Gypsy Theatre. The instantly recognizable music from legendary films will be accompanied by a unique video sequence featuring famous Soviet actors.

Everyone knows Leonid Gaidai’s comedies by heart. They have long become part of everyday life and an essential element of the cultural code. Loved by millions of people of all ages, these films are watched again and again, bringing audiences joy with their witty jokes, clever wordplay, charismatic characters, and incredible adventures.
