Carmina Burana
About the concert
On October 29, the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory hosted a performance of one of the most epic and captivating masterpieces of world classical music — Carl Orff’s scenic cantata Carmina Burana. The work was performed by the State Kremlin Orchestra and the A.A. Yurlov State Academic Choral Capella of Russia.
The monumental masterpiece by the German classical composer was also performed by soloists David Sanikidze (tenor), Andrzej Belecki (baritone), and Elizaveta Narsia (soprano). One of Russia’s most sought-after conductors, Konstantin Chudovsky, took the podium for the evening.
