An Evening of Cello Music

On May 28, as part of the first CelloQwest Television Competition and Festival, an evening of cello music took place at the Rachmaninoff Hall. The performers were People's Artist of Russia and Moscow Conservatory professor Alexander Rudin and distinguished cellist Emin Martirosyan. The program featured cello sonatas by Debussy and Franck, as well as an Étude and Elegy from a Suite for Solo Cello by contemporary Russian composer and associate professor at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, Pyotr Klimov, who was a special guest of the evening.
