On January 23, world-renowned opera star Aida Garifullina, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, performed at the Neftche Palace of Culture. The concert featured the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted by Adik Abdurakhmanov.

Plácido Domingo described Aida Garifullina as “one of the most extraordinary opera divas of the present and the future.” Her remarkable career is testament to his words. After winning the Operalia competition in 2013, the singer became a sought-after guest at the world’s leading opera houses and concert halls.

In 2017, she received the prestigious ECHO Klassik Award for Best Solo Album, often referred to as the “Oscar” of classical music. In the summer of 2018, she performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the FIFA World Cup.

Today, the celebrated singer continues to be invited to major international music projects. In autumn 2019, Aida hosted the sixth season of the television competition The Big Opera, one of the flagship projects of the Russia-Kultura television channel.

In February of that year, Garifullina also made her debut at the Bolshoi Theatre, performing the role of Volkhova in Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera Sadko, directed by Dmitri Cherniakov.

Today, the singer’s busy schedule includes performances at the Metropolitan Opera, the Berlin State Opera, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Arena di Verona, Wigmore Hall in London, the Musikverein in Vienna, as well as at the Dresden and Vienna Opera Balls.
