A Winter Evening with Vadim Eilenkrig

On December 1, the Moscow State Variety Theatre will host a major concert by Vadim Eilenkrig.

Renowned trumpeter and television host, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Vadim Eilenkrig, together with the artists of his creative ensemble Eilenkrig Crew, will present a vibrant jazz cocktail of popular hits and new compositions, promising a festive mood and joyful atmosphere.

The evening’s programme will include such pieces as “Brazilian Blues,” “Take the A Train,” “Samba de Vadim,” “Como Un Bolero,” “Three Friends in Rumba,” “Blue in Green,” “Yo Viviré,” “Pier 39,” “The Cape Verdean Blues,” “Quimbara,” “Historia de un Amor,” and many others.

Energetic Latin American rhythms, rich Brazilian blues, sensual Cuban rumba, and iconic jazz standards will fill the evening with bright sunshine and invite everyone to embrace the happiness of carefree living.

Vadim Eilenkrig

Vadim Eilenkrig is a prominent Russian musician, trumpeter, television host, producer, and educator. He is an Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan and the recipient of the Musician of the Year award from Radio Jazz 89.1 (2018).

He is the author of five solo albums, one of which, Eilenkrig, reached No. 4 on the Russian iTunes Top 200 Jazz Chart and No. 1 on the Top 200 Tracks Armenia All Genre Chart.

Since 2016, Eilenkrig has served as Artistic Director of the “Wind of Change” Festival in Kazan. Since 2019, he has been Artistic Director of the “Jazz Summer with Eilenkrig” Festival at the P.I. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall.

He is also Artistic Director of the Lemon Festival in Yaroslavl and curator of the jazz programmes at Ural Music Night and the New Open Showcase Festival in Yekaterinburg.

Eilenkrig is widely known to television audiences as host of the Big Jazz programme on Russia-Kultura (2013), co-host and orchestra leader on Dancing with the Stars on Russia-1 (2016), and host of his own music programme Shabolovka, 37 on Russia-Kultura, which he has hosted since 2018.

He is also a regular member of the jury of the Nutcracker International Television Competition for Young Musicians.

Eilenkrig actively tours internationally, performing across the CIS, Europe, North America, and Asia.
