MOSCOW, October 13 /VGTRK/. To conclude the programme, we pay tribute to the talent and brilliance of Russian and world opera star Hibla Gerzmava, one of the most sought-after singers on the international opera stage. The previous evening, she performed at the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. The concert was part of her world tour, which was to conclude in London at the end of winter.

The programme featured romances and opera arias by composers from different countries and eras. Gerzmava was accompanied by pianist Ekaterina Ganelina. Gerzmava and Ganelina regularly perform together. Their duo made its debut exactly four years earlier, in October 2015, when they received a standing ovation at Carnegie Hall. The Moscow audience also warmly welcomed their evening of vocal music the following Saturday.

“In a short romance that lasts just a minute or two — and sometimes only a minute — you have to make people open up, accept what you are giving them, and hear both the words and, of course, the incredible music, which should flow like a stream. Romances are pure energy,” said People’s Artist of Russia Hibla Gerzmava.
