Lorenzo and Gabriele Bagnati I Piano Duet

On February 25, the Italian piano duo Lorenzo and Gabriele Bagnati performed in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. Two outstanding young Italian pianists— the brothers Lorenzo (1998) and Gabriele (2002) Bagnati, presented to the Moscow audience a vivid program of masterpieces of music for piano in four hands.

The audience heard lyrical works by Maurice Ravel, Franz Schubert, Claude Debussy and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The Bagnati brothers are the undisputed stars of the younger generation of European pianists. Both were born in Milan into a musical family, started piano lessons at the age of four, and performed with orchestras as children, winning first prizes at prestigious international competitions.
