GERSHWIN GALA Was Held to a Sold-Out Audience in Moscow on April 8

150 musicians performed outstanding works by George Gershwin at the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory — the opera Porgy and Bess and Rhapsody in Blue.

Those who attended the concert that evening had the opportunity to hear a unique cast of vocalists: the brilliant Janine Burnett and the inimitable Reginald Smith Jr.

The concert also featured the Russian Philharmonia Moscow Symphony Orchestra and the Masters of Choral Singing Academic Grand Choir. The performance was conducted by Dmitri Korchak, with the piano part performed by Basinia Shulman.
